Maggio’s are a much loved family owned business established in 1998, with several locations. They serve up high end cakes, bread, pizza and coffee mainly on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
The Challenge
Maggio’s came to Employee Matters needing help with their HR and processes . A time-strapped employee had been carrying most of the load but needed help with creating systems and approaches for performance management, compliant policies and the management of complex HR issues as they arose.
The Solution
Our Expert has provided on tap HR support and advice across the board as and when it is needed. With the Maggio’s team being short of time, our Expert is able to react quickly to any issues or questions that may arise across their multiple locations. Policies, tools, checklists and guidelines have been established to manage the entire spectrum of HR issues. Psychosocial safety training was also conducted resulting in Maggio’s compliance with recent ER legislation and giving them the tools needed to deal with incidents, should they occur.
The Results
Compliance with ER legislation and risk mitigation by implementing fit for purpose policies had been an issue of concern and is now satisfactorily resolved. Job descriptions have been reviewed and updated and our expert provides on tap support as and when needed on an ongoing basis, negating the need for a specialised HR hire.
